The backgrounds in Bitter sweet morning are made traditionally on paper with water colors.
I first drew the sketches of the backgrounds digitally in adobe photoshop. Then I drew the final background on paper and after this I drew it lightly on water color paper. Then I applied the paint, layer by layer. Finishing it with adding the line art with fine liners.

Later I scanned the backgrounds into the computer and did the final editing in adobe photoshop, like adding sunshine and playing with saturation and brightness/contrast.
