About this project
Camera Japan is a Dutch festival focused on Japanese culture, mainly on Japanese film (Click here to check out their website). Each year, the festival has it's own leader. A group of students from HKU University of the arts Utrecht made the leader for the 13th edition of the festival in 2018.
Together with Evelyne du Bois I was co-producer of this project, which was directed by Sanna de Vries. Since it was the 13th (the unlucky number) edition, this year's theme was: superstition.

In the leader, we see a group of Yokai (class of supernatural monsters, spirits and demons in Japanese folklore), which are investigating the projection room in the cinema. Their curiousity leads them to all sorts of trouble.
